The key signature is the sharps or flats which appear at the start of each line of music. The keys of C and A minor have no sharps or flats, like this:
The key of G has one sharp, like this:
The key of F has one flat, like this:
The key signature appears on every line of music, after the treble clef as above. Here is some music in the key of F.
